Nice, I've often considered getting a 500 smith, though not for any practical reasons. I'd shoot mostly reduced loads, but still it would be plenty for deer and other thin skinned game. How do you carry it? A chest rig? I carry my blackhawk in a Simply Rugged sourdough pancake holster and it's very comfortable, so I'd probably start there for a holster.

Thank you, my friend. That one of yours is a beauty! Something pretty special about those Pythons. Though it was nice to have my gunsmith put my mind at ease regarding the newer renditions, it is something to behold when it comes to the older hand-fit models - and the blueing just can't be beat!
 
Dang! Didn't realize until those last couple of photos that the Python (new) has a serrated trigger. Bummer. I'm very much not a fan of serrated triggers. And I really wanted a Python. 🫤
