Traditional knives and records

Good one, Gary. Don't know it, but it looks so 1967 or 1968. Maybe British Invasion band. Not sure which one. Interesting cover. If no one guesses, you gotta tell us!
I'll post a more informative pic tomorrow, Vince, but I suspect someone will tell us before then. In the past I've been amazed at how quickly people were able to "meet my challenges" in this thread.:)
You have the right time frame, but not a British Invasion band.

But don't forget, folks,
That's what you get, folks,
For making whoopie!"

I didn't know, i don't know who is McCartney either.

Dan.
Paul McCartney was one of the Beatles. After they broke up, Paul formed a band called Wings, which put out some good music during the 1970's. And Paul has put out a lot of solo albums without Wings too. Not sure when they disbanded. Wings was essentially Paul, because his wife, also in the band, did not have much musical talent. Denny McLane I think was another band member. I am not an expert on Wings, but Venus and Mars is a good album from the early 1970's.

Vince, I 've got a hunch that Dan is kidding and knows who is PMcC, but like me he may be no great fan (Ram being an exception imho).
When they split each Beatle became just another pop singer (no value judgment). PMcC gave some good songs (Mull of Kintyre :)), but also Live and let die... ;)

Now i remember, The Beatles,, a British band which had some hype in the 60's. I didn’t care much, i was too busy at listening blues.
It wouldn't be the first time i missed something.

It's not nice to denounce ! But you are right, i'm not fan at all. Pop music is nice, but all is in the roots.

No denunciation intended, but as we probably are of the same generation, it's hard to imagine a period teen-ager unaware of John, Paul, George & Ringo.

JP ! I was kidding ! We probably are of the same generation (1956 here) but i've grown up in a family where we listened to gwerziou ( a gwerz being a breton lament, somehow a blues) and to Américain music, Eroll Garner, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young... The Beatles were nothing, just haired british we could hear on the radio. The blues was something else for my teen years. Then came back the Jazz, Coltrane, Davis, Monk, Evans, that's an other story. Pop music, including thé Beatles, didn't matter and still don't.
