I try not to buy them Paul, but I used to pick up a lot when I was looking round flea-markets and antique stores, and I have a pal who has a second-hand tool stall each week in the market, so there is a lot of temptation! I had all my old mechanics tools stolen years ago, together my micrometers, and the rest of my tools. The ones I have now have just been gathered together over the past 20 years. I could probably get by with just one tool-box these days, whereas I have a handful, plus a lot of overflow

Found these old pliers in a rubbish pile going to be thrown out. They were covered in rust and could not be open or shut, a bit of TLC, and are a great little pair of pliers, made in England, and will outlast me. .

Went out to my bench this morning for a sharpening session. The 3 on the left are my most used kitchen knives. The puukko does the majority of the other cutting tasks.

Not having a use for it, I managed to resist buying this old long-handled slasher on my mate's second-hand tool stall. He had a nice axe I had to struggle to resist far more, (as I have more than enough), but if it's still there next week I may succumb!

Did you dip that WF / PROTO 4" in some translucent plastidip ?
I've never actually used it before, but I didn't know they made translucent.

Makes it look like the old Klein adjustable.

Thanks, it's indeed a beautiful well made knife. Hard to get but now i don't look for an other stockman.
