Traditional Knives on Desks

This desk is in our home office. After 43 years the last thing I need is a desk in a real office!

Mug Boss who knew? Here I am living like an animal without one. Do they all come preloaded with Sweet red Alox old style cross SAKs?

My reaction when I first saw a Mug Boss posted in the Traditional Forum by someone was very similar to yours! Once I became aware of their existence, I couldn't imagine not having one. Mine came without any knives, but I had a few to choose from to load it up. That Old Cross Pioneer is certainly one of my favorite knife finds; thanks for noticing it!

I wouldn't say I enjoy working on them. I'd say ours is more of a love/hate relationship, dependent on how successful I am at solving the puzzles. I swear that some days my fingers simply aren't working right. No matter how many times I've figured them out, there are occasions when I just cannot disentangle the pieces. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

I know what you mean, but it's SO rewarding when you have the angles just right and the pieces just fall apart with almost no force needed.

Well that's handier than pockets on your shirt! I like how you have it populated, Gary!!

I spent some time looking at a magnified version of your cool desk shot. I'll bet there aren't too many people that have the trifecta of a cool old solar TI calculator, a spur, and an anvil on their desk!

I closed the door on my business office 9 years ago.

Of course I started out on the shop floor for a few years, but then during the rest of my career I was in a cube. Even when we moved into our new $200 million dollar plant in the spring of 2012 the office area for management was open concept (cubicles). I vacated my cube on 1/31/2018.
