Traditional Knives & Slingshots

I haven't done any slingshot shooting in probably 5 years, and the last one I made I had given to my teenage cousin so I don't have one.
I felt like getting back into it, so today I whipped up this little guy out of some scrap mahogany I had left over from some pistol grips I made a couple months back.

Once the yellow theraband tubing I ordered arrives this thing should be a great BB shooter.
It still needs a few good coats of oil, but otherwise it's done for now.
when I can start messing with it I'll figure out what tweaks & changes I need to make.
Really nice work buddy, and please let us know how you get on with that tubing 😎👍

Thanks.

I'll definitely update, I used to use some cheap natural rubber tubing from the local tackle shop, but it never really lasted all that long.

One of our old Canadian members sent me a load of bands and some thin tubing (sad to see he's not here anymore). The bands are excellent, and I found the tubing pretty good too, and it lasts well. I used it on a couple of slingshots, and the accuracy was as good as the bands

Maybe I'll take my new Scout LT2 to the farm tomorrow. I haven't shot it yet, and I haven't been to the farm in ages. I don't want to shoot steel at the sheet in the basement.
I'm with you on that Jer! 😁 I once watched a video of Zach Fowler shooting in his basement, and it was a.mess! 😂 I really need to get out myself 👍
