That's awesome, Dan! As a former scout leader, I was extremely proud when the boys in my den earned their whittling chip. If you'd like, I'm sure I have a used-not-abused cub scout knife I can send for your son.

My son got his whittling chip! For those unfamiliar with BSA, a scout can not carry/use a knife on a scouting activity or event until he is a Bear and obtains his whittling chip. Although my son has been using/carrying a knife for three years, he can now do so at scouts. He's excited and dad is proud
