Nice Rack(s)! :p What did you take them with?

My son has been showing an interest in fishing & hunting. I have a Winchester 94 in .32 Winchester Special, and he's been wanting to try it. He can shoot my Ruger .44 SBH pretty well (light target loads), so maybe I'll let him try my Winchester.

Me & the short Roles at a public range in the summer of 2011. Not a very flattering pic of me, but I'm glad to say I've dropped a few lbs. since then.

About the only pictures I can find of me were taken by someone else on backpacking trips. Here I am with my son....yes, can you see the resemblance? He took after his mother (filipina) except for height (for which he is very happy, his mother is 4'11"). Note also that he has learned his lessons well and is a knifeknut, too. See the custom Laconico fixed blade on his pack strap?

Great picture!

I promised Paul backchannel that I would post one of me and my son when we are together next week for Thanksgiving. Isn't great to have a son who enjoys life as you do? Looks like you and I are both fortunate in that regard.

This one is from last summer. I've lost about 40 lbs since this pic

It's a great picture though

My laptop is finally ok. I'm not a climber, but I do like mountains, and even though this might not look like your "standard" mountain picture, it's taken around 4000 mt (above 13K feet):

I'm really enjoying this thread too. The odds are, I might never meet most of you (or any), but still this is more than a forum, and it's nice to put a face to a name. :)

This is a very old photo. I'm much older now but it's the only decent pic I have of myself.

I think this was taken in 1988 on the banks of the Royal Gorge in Colorado:

Great pic Fausto

You're welcome Jack. That was a fantastic trip for me.
And I do enjoy your mountian/climbing pictures as well (although I'm no climber, just hiker, and most of all traveller).
It's funny how some of us do look alot like I had imagined them, and others look very different from the idea I had in mind. Either way, as in any family, it's good to be able to recognize each other's face :)

Don't know what I'm carrying in this picture, probably a large Sebenza and a yellow delrin peanut.

Yes, it is very rewarding to have my son interested in the same things I like. My two older sons don't have much interest in backpacking, but some interest in knives. The only true common ground with all three of them is guns...they will all show up, especially if I'm buying the ammo.

My two daughters have no interest in knives, guns, or backpacking. I have to find other areas of interest with them.

lambertiana, that makes 5 children. Makes you a wealthy man. Wealth of meaning, wealth of love, and so on.

And Roland is right, you are indeed a wealthy man in the things that matter.

Yes, although greenbacks are in short supply for me right now, I am wealthy in the things that really matter.

When we got married, I told my wife I wanted a dozen kids, and her response was "With whom?"

Now they are all grown...the son in the backpacking picture is the baby, and he is now off in the Philippines as a missionary.
