Traditional of the Month: August is Soddie Month!!

Congrats to all who voted for the Sodbuster. I don't have one, but cannot say I am too disappointed with the outcome, as it gives me another month to carry something different each day.

As for trapper being the perennial bridesmaid, I say let the people decide. I did pick up a mini trapper in the exchange last week, so if that one did rise to the top for September I am equipped.

Although I voted for the Sodbuster, because I just received my first (GEC Bullnose Red Neck), I'm wary of carrying it until the humidity of the monsoon season dries up. I'll probably pick up a Case Soddie Jr (in CV) instead, since if rust ruins it, I'm only out $20 or so.

Well considering that I have both a #53 and #54 about to land in my mail box. I guess I'll bow out this month and break in some new stag.
I'm sure the trapper will have it's day about the time the forum knives begin landing.

Disappointing that the sunfish/sleeveboard/toenail didn't score higher.

Okay if I start early guys? I pulled out my yellow Sodbuster and and stropped it this morning, dropped it in my pocket and headed out. Since carrying the barlow and my stockmans this past month, I had forgotten how much knife you get with so little weight in the pocket! Happy friday everyone.

Don't you need Sodbuster months, or Sodbuster quarter, or even Sodbuster year, to get all those lovelies in rotation? I seriously doubt one month will suffice!

Please........there are 27 soddies in his pictures, he can can carry each knife for 1 day, 2 hours, 40 minutes. Plenty of time.

Is their a way to pair it down to 12 patterns/catagories that would cover everything? Maybe make december the everything else month, with christmas and all? Just an idea.

might have to take a month and make it the "oddball" TOTM pruners, swing-guards, coke bottles, Dr.s' knives etc. Let the less known patterns get some pocket time. I know I have a pruner that needs it as well.
