Do you guys consider Alox or wooden handled SAK's to be traditional knives? I have always loved my Cadet that I have carried for almost 5 years. I just want to know if I need to keep this discussion in the MT Forum.

I you don't have a 93mm ALOX SAK...the Electrician is a wonderful way to start but be warned, it can lead to others and others and others!![]()
Nice display Robert.....too bad about the rest or you'd really have a huge collection....

Nice guys, I've had the electrican but ended up with this one, as I like the small hawkbill blade for lots of handy cutting tasks, this is the Pioneer Harvester which I guess is out of production? Does anyone know of another Alox handled Vic that also has this type of hawkbill blade?

I can't find the listing but you're describing a Pioneer Pruner so they may have used the wrong picture. The apprentice has a sheepsfoot blade.

Ah, thank you. I'd like one but I can't find them new so I'm assuming that model's discontinued.
What type of steel is used for the blade?
Why would modern renditions of old patterns made by Victorinox not be considered traditional when modern renditions of old patterns made by GEC be considered traditional?I don't consider them to be traditional knives but that doesn't mean I don't like them. Just one mans opinion.
Do they make an Apoc. Green Cadet?
