Traditional SAK's

Thanks guys, it is VERY kool, had to wrangle some things around in order to be able to get it, and actually was thinking I screwed up...again ;) but when she arrived today, WOW, love this rascal ! The detail of the Alox and the colours green/silver/red look so nice and the blades and tools are top notch as well.

Another shot of her up close and personal;

Nice Ken, tossing in a ringer...I mean a Wenger ;)

Right now limited funds but since getting the Green machine, it drove me to also add a smaller watch pocket style SAK so I picked up a Black Cadet, and that about does it for any expenditures for a while!

Was checking and oiling some of my special (to me) commemorative/discontinued/older Cellidor models this morning.

Alox is quiete traditional - at least in my book

mine so for - only an originally packed WENGER SI which still blisterpackaged is not pictured.

Will someone please take Gary's camera away from him? Good grief, every time he posts, he reminds me of yet another knife that I don't need to be wanting.... :D

I would also consider non-locking SAK's traditional. Although the discussions on this forum tend to focus on US folding traditionals (usually), there are at times good threads on SAKs, Opinels, and others. Once in a while an interesting fixed blade discussion comes up as well. That's what I like about this place!

I think I would consider the small lobster pattern SAK's a traditional knife, since the makers in Sheffield turned out tons of them in the old days. True, they may have had pearl scales instead of red plastic, but the patterns were similar enough to get in the door. Some of those small gentlemen lobsters had as much if not more tool than a SAK, like button hooks, nail files, reamers.

I know, I'm a bad influence for sure ;) but, I do highly recommend this knife, my only nit pick would be the split ring holder should have been more pointed to the end of the knife and not up and into your hand. I did wrap the knife in tape and took a jeweler's file and sand paper to the edges of that so it's more rounded now and doesn't cut in so much, handy to have a braided fob to help draw from the pocket. I did put a slightly smaller and black split ring on there, if I can find a smaller split ring I'd change it out again, don't need to be so large.
