Traditional Tanto (previously titled- thinning a tsuba)

Looking good so far Kevin. Be sure to bring it to Ashokan with you ( finished or not).
 
tsuba looks cool ! i also appreciate the zen aspect of making these japanese styled things. each one is an adventure. traditionally as you probably know, there were different craftsman for each piece. the blade guy never had to make a habaki. the saya guy never had to make a tsuba. one person doing it all is a challenge. congrats. sometimes i listen to traditional japanese music while in the shop making them. lots of it on youtube.
