I was thinking about the 2013 Blade Forums knife and got to wondering: You don't see many knives with a sheepsfoot main blade. I guess the congress is one. I think Sheffield makes one. What other knives do you see with the Sheepsfoot?

Isn't their an Otter-Messer rope knife/sailor's knife with a sheepsfoot main? And I think the GEC #47 also has one.

Here is an A. Wright Lambfoot - thank you Jack :)

The Otter Ankermesser (anchor knife) has a sheepfoot mainblade

Otter in Kamel Bone ;)

Hope this helps a little

Florist's knives. I briefly had one by Empire with ebony.
Versatile knife pattern, despite the specific name.

Case #17 - 4" Loom Fixer. I don't believe this one has been made for awhile.

A number of makers have done Barlows with sheepsfoot mains in the past. The Boker Tree Brand 494 comes to mind, for example.

Are you talking single blade or multi? GEC makes the Hayn' Helper both as a single blade sheepsfoot and a jack with a pen. GEC also makes a a bunch with wharncliffe main blades. I have a Kutmaster barlow with a sheepsfoot main and pen secondary, and I've seen Boker barlows the same way. Rough Rider has a "half hawk" that's very similar to the old Case Loom Fixer. There's a few Schatt and Morgans with sheepsfoot blades. The Swayback Clasp knife (although it doesn't really sway back), the English Jack, and the Cotton Sampler. There's the Victorinox floral knife. And of course various Army/Navy/rigging knives.

And GEC Farm & Field # 473212, I would like it better in ebony, but it's a rugged user, so no complaints.

One of my local army surplus stores has some sort of Otter Messer knife with a sheepsfoot blade like the ones posted above. White handle, not sure what material. Going to buy it soon I think. It doesn't have a bolster though, if I remember correctly. Looks and feels like a good knife, but I couldn't give more of a review than that.

The S&M series XVIII had a beautiful English Jack with a sheepfoot master and pen secondary in brown wormgroove bone.

Pete, you are absolutely right on that one! Nice thin grinds, well heat treated carbon blades, and a nice action, that 494 is still my favorite Barlow by far...

Wow! Some great-looking knives here. A great working pattern. Thanks for all the pics. Fast work gents! :)

You're very welcome Andi. Nice to see the little otter too! :D

I've been eyeing this Queen Joe Pardue Cotton Sampler. I especially like the easy-open notch.
