Traditional with a Sheepsfoot main blade?

S&M (It looks a lot smaller than 4.5")

Some interesting examples in Levine's 4th. It looks like the Ulster Carpenters jack knife has two sheepsfoot blades.

Those are remarkably fine, thanks for showing them.

That Rodgers Wharncliffe catches my eye, drool mode is on.

I too have one of those Schatt English Jacks with huge Sheepfoot Master. I must say it's too big and unwieldy for my carry but the Wormgroove bone is very decent and it appeals because it is so odd!

thawk:

That ulster carpenter's knife probably has a spear secondary like this NYKCO with the Carpenter's Knife etch:

nice carbon bladed 2 pin 494. I see yours has the fat tree. Your scales dont look bone though. My thin tree 2 pin is definitely not carbon bladed, and the scales are definitely not bone. Here is a thread about the 494 with more pics

I posted to ask what type of stainless is used, but no one knew.

Boker 494, (plastic handle, delrin, stainless blades)

The covers on mine are synthetic, and even though saw cut, they have a slick feel to them. I wish I knew how to date it. Interesting thing I just noticed, the two scales on mine are brass and the central liner is steel.

you might want to post to that thread link I gave above.
they said mine was 76-81. Like yours it has the center steel liner and brass outers, but mine is definitely not carbon, and you have the fat tree. I agree the sawcut delrin is slick.. its also very consistent in color at the bolster curve.

heres my liners

This main blade is usually described as a Wharncliffe, but looks more like the lambsfoot blades shown here. Case Copperhead.

does anybody have the new #15 e/o boys knife with the lambsfoot blade? I'm on the fence about ordering it and need a "push".

Thanks!
