Traditional with a Sheepsfoot main blade?

Here is my XX era #17. Could not find it earlier.

Andi, that Otter is sweet. Are they generally put together well?

Yeah... for the little money they cost, they are great working knives. Nothing fancy or high-end but at a great F&F compared to many other german/american makers.

I gonna send you a VM...

Here's a few I've got... An old G & G Cut Co. Coke Bottle Jack w/ Sheepsfoot main. This one has a Saber grind on the back of the main blade and the pen blade. Old Remington Jack with
Sheepsfoot main. And a Case Loom Fixer from 1974...

Those are great, Jason. I like the Remington especially. I'm guessing the Case has walnut handles?

The S&M series XVIII had a beautiful English Jack with a sheepfoot master and pen secondary in brown wormgroove bone.
I very recently traded mine away. 4.5" closed is just too big for me!

Does the main on the Northfield Weaver Jack count as a sheepsfoot? I think they call it a modified sheepsfoot. Or a modified hawkbill. I can't remember.

No, I cannot take good photos.

Here is an A. Wright Lambfoot - thank you Jack :)

Hope this helps a little

The Otter is one I have wanted for quite some time, how do you like it overall?

I was thinking about the 2013 Blade Forums knife and got to wondering: You don't see many knives with a sheepsfoot main blade. I guess the congress is one. I think Sheffield makes one. What other knives do you see with the Sheepsfoot?

Here is a Case whittler on a congress frame with a sheepsfoot main:

The congress frame does work well for a sheepsfoot with more than one blade, as the curve of the frame helps cover the main blade's spine when using secondary blades, leaving it more comfortable in-hand.

This one widens out quite a bit at the secondary end, which also contributes to in-hand comfort:

That's a Stonka of a blade on that Case Lambertiana - whew...what a beaut, the blade has hardly been used by the looks?

That's a nice looking one Andi !!! Here's the one you gifted me and the brief write-up I did when I got it.

The knife is an OTTER-Messer knife with a sheepsfoot blade with wood covers. The knife's shield is a brass anchor - just the ticket for me as I was in the U.S. Navy for 24-years. The blade is carbon steel yet the bolsters and liners are stainless steel as is the spring. This knife is brand new - never carried. Andi mentioned in his enclosed note that he had sharpened the blade and he did a good job as the blade is sharp.

Some interesting examples in Levine's 4th. It looks like the Ulster Carpenters jack knife has two sheepsfoot blades.
