I can imagine the value this knife has to you but it was the watch that caught my eye. Hamilton 992B, a legend! You should know that on single railway lines, where trains traveled in both directions, where there was no signaling system, between stations that did not have telephones, many disasters occurred. The answer to the problem was, at the end of the 19th century, to measure and enforce travel times and therefore to provide railway workers with watches. This deserves a long development. Watch manufacturers had to improve their products and it is sometimes surprising to learn that the train has influenced the watch industry. This watch, the Hamilton 992B, designed in 1940, is the pinnacle of the "railway watch". It's of an accuracy comparable to modern quartz watches with an autonomy of 50 hours when fully wound. A historic and exceptional watch.
