Trapped in IKEA With No Matches?

I knew IKEA was good for something!!

I'll let my wife take a look and see if she agrees:D I'm sure she will we have nothing in our house from them.. :0)

Awesome! I don't know the last time I grinned so much while watching a video. I love it when people think outside of the box and I'm always looking for things around me that could be improvised for survival use.

NO!
I refuse to believe that this could be done without a blade made from S42nfi hi-carb. Or, at the very least, BG1097.5
No other metal could have sustained this kind of stress without failing miserably.

I also refuse to believe that he REALLY used his finger to poke through that plastic wrap.
I saw a Kung-Fu Master do it once, but the average guy could never do it.

The whole thing was fake.

Excuse me, gotta get back to my survival show on TV….

That was fantastic. I don't have an Ikea near me but maybe I can try the same with WalMart stuff.

Hmm, now I have a reason to go inside the maze called Ikea. Then again, maybe not. Good to know they have such dry material though. *poof*

And the whole thing only cost about 30.00 USD to make based on the current exchange rate.

That's one costly fire.

Great video! Although, being trapped in a freezing cold IKEA with my wife... I would be jumping IN the fire!

This reminds me of a florida survival trip a few knife guys took (akabu, I think you were there). George Hedgepath wanted to tick everyone off and just brought a kitchen knife as his only knife. Did mighty fine with it too.
Love that story for some reason. Makes sense when you think of it, food prep is about half of my knife use, and most of the rest is light cutting anyway.
