Obviously not an entry but I wanted to say way to go on the GAW John. I also think $10 is a small price to pay for a basic membership to this special place that's just chalk full of folks filled with great knowledge of all things sharp & pointy. ;) It never occurred to me to add this requirement when I ran my first GAW but I'm definitely going to add it to my next. Good luck everybody and it's great to see you passed the good fortune along John.☺ ✌

In in. I've yet to try a Case trapper, or their yellow Derelin so it would tick two boxes.

Thanks for the chance.

Final bump.
The knife is a classic Case trapper with chrome vanadium blades. See rules in post #1. I will cut off the entries on Saturday, December 15 at 8:00 p.m. United States Central Standard Time. Random drawing before midnight, and will ship Monday morning.

As some of you may know, I recently won a GAW co-hosted by JohnDF JohnDF and t.willy t.willy . The prize was two trappers. JohnDF JohnDF started a three-trapper GAW which t.willy t.willy won. t.willy t.willy kept one and co-hosted a GAW for the remaining trappers, which I won. I am only keeping one: the wharncliffe mini-trapper (never had a wharncliffe blade). So, I am hosting my first GAW for the remaining knife, a Case Yellow Delrin CV Trapper, a true classic.

The rules are pretty simple.
(1) Be a paid/supporting member of BladeForums (at least a "Basic Member"); and
(2) be a regular contributor to the traditional sub-forum (25+ posts as of today).
That's it. No restrictions as to country. Shipping on me. A simple "I'm in" from eligible entrants will do it. I will keep this open for a week and a half, and do a random drawing next Saturday, December 15.
Good Luck!

Edited to modify requirement 2 (25 instead of 50 posts in traditional subforum as of December 5), but sticking with rule 1: must be paid member to enter. You can join by the time I select the winner (at random, of course) on December 15.
Not sure how I missed this thread, or at least didn't post here, for more than a week!:(

Not an entry, because I've learned that there are MANY folks who would carry and enjoy a full size trapper much more than I would. But congrats, Vince, on winning the t.willy t.willy 's "son" of JohnDF JohnDF 's 3-trapper GAW (the Wharncliffe mini trapper is a gem :thumbsup:) and for hosting this generous "grandson" GAW for the iconic yellow Delrin Case CV trapper!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

Best wishes to all the entrants!! :D:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks! I love the full size trappers myself, and will eventually get a yellow one (I have a yellow mini trapper with CV blades). I like both SS and CV.

This being the traditional forum, I picked the winner in a traditional way: I put the names in a hat and had my daughter pick one out at random. So, without further eloquence, the winner is: Pinemoon.

Congratulations! Please send me your mailing address in a PM, and I will get this shipped Monday morning.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and, as Tiny Tim said: "May God bless us all, everyone!"

Yeah I looked for that hat on somebody's head for a long time, someone broke into my home and got it couple computers, some other electronic stuff, my hat,my Dads bear recurve bow I had borrowed, a few knives including a Buck I can't remember the model number, Buckmaster style blade but 5 inch, green kraton handle. That was a hard knife to come by, and I ain't found one since. Plus they trashed the house. All back in '03. It would NOT have been a good day for anyone caught wearing that hat. Luckily I was doing night watchman job for the place I truck mechanic'd for to. I stayed on the property during the week and only was home on the weekends. So what firearms I owned at the time was with me in the camper I was staying in.

No one likes a thief. All accounts will be settled one day, though.

Thanks Prester J!
And thank your daughter for me!
This porch community is a great group of folks.
Looking forward to my trapper, my first trapper at that!
Hope my wife believes me when I explain I got yet another knife, but for free this time!
Peace to all...
