Trapper or ???

The Camillus 707 is a unique knife. So far I have found one. The price is a bit more than I feel comfortable carrying.

My search continues. I realize that I have a set of specifications that severely limit the options. The Trapper pattern seems to match those requirements.

But I am open to other styles/patterns. Traditional and contemporary.

I have not considered a custom made knife assuming it would cost more than $150, but maybe I should do some searching.

All suggestions are most encouraged and welcomed.

The Boker Copperhead is another one you might want to keep an eye out for. Sadly, all of the ones I’m aware of are c75. The stag Boker Trapper is the only knife I really know of that fits the criteria and is available from a dealer. Well... I guess there’s always the Victorinox Cheese Master, lol.

If you up your budgets like ten or fifteen dollars you can get the CollectorKnives exclusive Lionsteel Warhorse Barlow. That’s a SWEET knife.

Interesting that you mention the Vic Cheese Knife, Fixall. I have one that I carry in my lunch box. Quite a nice knife. Actually I modified it by adding a non-serrated blade. One plain edge, one serrated edge. Seems familiar...

I have on order a Boker Trapper, stag, stainless steel blades. This knife should perform well for my food knife.

Maybe jumping ahead but in my researching I became intrigued with a modern design that would match my specs. I am not very knife knowledgeable but I found very few "modern" knives with 2 blades.

My specs again:
- 2 blades, both long (no other tools)
- flat ground blades
- stainless steel blades
- folded length 4" plus or minus
- one hand opening is ok but not necessary
- locking is ok but not necessary
- assembled with screws instead of rivets would be nice
- not look too tactical
- well made, preferably USA but not China

Are there any models that fit these specs, or most of them?
Are there any particular makers to look for?

I will continue to research but there certainly are a lot of knives available!

The Case slimline trapper is my favorite food knife - I have both ss and cv. They are great!!! It only has one blade though... but I guess that you could carry 2 of them 😬 (here are some older pictures)
