Traveling to Europe

Just out of curiosity, why would a sub 12 cm fixed blade get you into trouble? Has the law changed? Also, why would you even be accosted?
Give it some thought Joe, you're a smart guy. The law doesn't give anyone the right to carry a knife around with them at all times and all places for all reasons. It's all about situation, motivation and context. Say you're a visitor trying to carry a hunting knife on your belt into the Jewish museum... think that will fly? What about you're on a hiking trip in the forest, same hunting knife? See the difference? So do the police. And they now have a really difficult job over here and you want to get in their face with some internet lawyer "I know my rights" crap, your vacation may not end up like you planned it.

Unless you are going for very independent long trip, the likelyhood for you needing knife is very low. On top of that it’s just short period of life.

Get a sak, that’ll serve you well. On all my international travels I’ve had sak classic sd.. ifI’ve had one. I even survived Colombia without knife.
