Just purchased my second fixed blade by Trc. I am absolutely blown away by their quality, finish , materials, etc. They are not that new to the game but they are fairly hard to get. Is this why they aren't more popular ? Does anyone else feel like they are some of the best knives out there for the money !?

TRC is just coming up on my radar. I'm guessing by the lack of replies good, bad or otherwise that they're fairly unknown here sfrigon1. They jumped out at me from some of the pictures in member pehota's thread 'pehota hardcore' in the Great Outdoors. I won't link to it as there are what some might consider graphic images of use on critters.

It looks like there is a bladeforums dealer for TRC Knives as well, Russianknives.com and that Mr. Tricius, a Lithuanian maker, introduced himself here back in 2012.

I just ordered an XS Splinter in N690 from a dealer in the States today. That'll be the first I've tried from this maker and my first experience with N690. Which models do you have? It looks from your post that you're happy with them.

Hmm, they are well know here I Germany, my experience with them is a bit split. They are good value, but had some qc issues in the past. Guess they are solved now.

His K1 is one of the greatest blade profiles out there, IMO.

Fit and finish issues or something with the steel?

I thought his apocalypse looked good too.

Imho the elmax in their speak knife was not properly ground or treated and would not take a proper edge. On another knife it seemed like they simply forgot to finish one side of the tang (the underside).
But that is just me, others here swear by them and posted some great reviews, so I would say for their price, give them a try.

Thank you. I'll give it a good look-over when this xs splinter comes in.

Also I have to get a splinter lemme know how it feels when you get it in hand

I'll for sure let you know on the splinter. It's in the mail now so hopefully I can get some comparison pics with some better known blades taken soon.

The k1s looks great. I like that thinner stock and the 4" blade is right in that nice user/carry range.

I'm definitely digging the Apocalypse L. Just really like the blade profile and handle. Kinda reminds me of a SRKW Chopweiler only smaller.

I like the looks of the TR-15 too. Really clean lines. Usually I find one, maybe two models from a maker that I really like. This could be trouble :D

I have a custom santoku that was made by TRC. Great communication, the knife came sharp, and I couldn't find any cq issues. I've had it for about 3 years now, use it regularly, and I'm pretty pleased overall. They're a great value.

ditto. I got the TR-13 and I am extremely pleased with the knife. Tricius has been around for a while and is extremely pleasant to deal with. BTW you can find his knives at lamnia.com and they ship to US

Got the splinter in today. Really nice little blade. I can get four fingers on the handle with a little to spare. Here's some pics:

Where did you order that XS Splinter at? Everywhere I have looked doesn't have them in stock.

I believe that he got it from greenbeetlegear.com not sure if they are gonna make them again so ....

They are sold out. Some things are just not meant to be.

Wow. Sorry man. I must have got one of their last ones, but it's only been a few days since I ordered. You might want to call them, and see if there might be one more of any color lying around, just in case. Their website did encourage phone calls.
