Thought I would post this here too.He is probably lerking here too.
Has anyone been in touch with Tremor1127?I worked out a trade deal with him and he recieved my items Wed.3-12-03.I have email him 4 times asking when he will ship with no responce.I called him and spoke with his mother and asked that he return my call if he is haveing computer problems or something. No call back.Tried calling again today and no one picks up.If I can't get in touch with him by Mon.3-17-03 I will have no choise but to file a mail frawd complaint and post his name address and phone # on every forum I am on.

I can't say he has scammed me yet but I sent him a money order last week and haven't heard from him since.

Out of courtesy I'll wait another week.

However, it has all the ear marks of a scam. Hope it isn't. If it is it's the first time I've been burned on a knife forum.

In addition to mail and computer fraud, he may be in for more from me since he's a fellow Texan. I may be able to file a local complaint with the Odessa Sheriff's Department.

Failed to follow our proven rules:

If the price is too good to be true there is likely something wrong.
If the forumite just joined two weeks ago and is selling a lot of popular high end knives, be careful.

I hope I can report a happy ending in a couple of weeks.

From what I have seen in the past few hours on knife forums and some emails I have gotten there are several people involved.

Add me to the list. Kevin responded to a WTB post I had on KF and BF. I sent a postal money order no replys to emails in several days and no knife. If someone doesn't contact me I will go the mail fraud route also. thanks Larry

That's how he got to me as well through a wanted to buy post at both forums. It also appears he had a bunch of knives up for sale at KF's but I can't seem to locate those posts anymore. Maybe the moderator removed them when people complained.

I just spoke with his mother again. He is suppose to be sending all the M.O.s and trade items back.I told her he needs to make sure that he emails everyone involed and tell them exactly when there stuff is mailed,if not there may be mail frawd complaits and legel charges filed.Hope this all gets fixed.   :barf: :barf:

Too bad Jeffrey McClain doesn't have a mother. Hope all turns out well but this is why it is so difficult to deal with a new member. As a former new member I hated it but I sure see why people are leery of new guy/nice knives/low prices.

Got an email from Tremor1127 saying he's sending my money order back. Sounds like he's learned a lesson. I know I have.

Well it seems as though my knives were on the way back to me Sunday but then I get an email tuesday saying that my Native had been stollen and that he would send me a M.O. for it.Everyone envoled is suppose to have everything that is thiers by Monday. If not I for one will file charges with the post office and his local police dept.I have all the emails on this deal saved and printed.I hope everyone else does the same if thier stuff isn't in the mail on or before Monday. :grumpy:

I have all the emails as well. I never throw anything away until a week after a deal is successfully closed.

I have not gotten my money order back yet. He said he was sending on Monday. Odessa to Houston shouldn't be more than a couple of days so I should have it by tomorrow. Then it will be a trip to the Post Office to get my money back. Don't know if they charge for that, probably do.

If I get the money back it will be a good lesson learned for a small price.

If all those knives were really stolen, I'd like to see the police report. Guess, I shouldn't go down that road. Seems like his parents have taken charge of him.

Hello,

Today I have received from Tremor1127 the same money order I had sent him for a Kershaw Boa.

The day I received an email from a person who had purchased the same knife I did on another forum, I was sure the money was gone.

I'm not sure what truly motivated Tremor to change his mind about what I am pretty sure he was trying to do but I am glad he did.

I am not as bummed about almost losing the money as I was about the fact the trust issue was messed with. It ruins this whole great thing we have going here.

Be safe all,
Mike

I haven't gotten my money order back yet. If not today then I'll email him again. If not by Monday then I suppose I'll have to take some action.

u812, can you email me the contact info for his parents?

magilla, I agree with you. The money is less important than the trust aspect. In dozens of transactions, sales and trades, I've never had a problem until this one. In every case I sent my part of the deal as soon as the deal was made and was never disappointed.

Now I will hesitate to deal with "newbies" which is unfair to them. Tremor1127 has made it less fun for all of us.

As some one noted earlier, it would be good if Tremor1127 publically apologizes in this Forum and Knife Forums in addition to compensating the people who were hurt.

I haven't received my money order and to make it worse no replys to emails sent. If I don't have mine by Tuesday the postal inspectors and the Odessa police can have little Kevin. Larry

I have not gotten my knife or M.O. yet either so tuesday I wiil let loose the hounds.

Jeff, just received an email from Kevin saying he was sending funds today but needed my address. You might want to make sure he has yours so you will not get that excuse. I also suggested he purchase delivery confirmation so both parties can track the delivery. If you don't get your stuff back let me know maybe we can file together. thanks Larry
