Trestle Pine Barlow

I'm curious as to why you would want the tip more proud?

Not the tip itself, but the tip end of the blade in the closed position. I'm with you on not wanting the tip anywhere near above the liners.

I guess a better way of saying it would be that I would more visible meat in the blade on the tip end when closed. Easier to open, and more symmetrical when closed. I still may not be making sense.

No I understand now, makes sense.

it's an interesting design, but i definitely prefer the looks of the superior. the bolster is simply a blank canvas for decoration. i'd like to see a lockback from them/him, the designs are ,again, interesting. i thought they were 154-cm, not cpm 154? gotta go son in need of changing.
thanks, Neal

The aesthetics don't really match what I like. I generally like stag but the way this one is put together doesn't work for me.

Also, I find the paperwork that says "It wasn't designed or built to be a 'collectible', but rather a functional tool built for decades of use." a bit bogus. If that was really the case why use brass and stag?

Nice Superior in Stag. Have not seen many Stag ones being posted.

Thank you for your opinion.
I especially wanted to learn more about this knife from users and the cutlery that produced it.

I am pretty sure the Trestle Pine knives were made by Queen for the online retailer tsaknives.
Thank you for the details. I had indeed read that Queens manufactured for T P K but I thought that T P K was a company that outsourced part of the production. I didn't know it was a subsidiary (or trademark) of TSA Knives.
