Keep at it, it looks pretty good! Everyone gave you some great tips too...

The overgrind is a relatively easy fix, just sand the flats more. I'd pull the grind back after heat treat but it depends what you are going for.



Make sure it's perfect before you sell it or another knife... it may take 30 hours to get it where you want it but it will be around for a lifetime or more.
 
SO AFTER THIS THREAD: I have decided to make a new one out of 52100 Stainless. Thanks for everyone who gave tips and advice!
