Trio Set

LOL!

That seller is the same guy who had the ridiculous price on the broken-tipped 124!!

I remember him well. This time for "proof" he's got a letter from a guy.

Well......if there's a "letter from a guy" it must be true.

:)

Yeah, I recognized the name. Didn't see a picture of the letter though.

ITE nice set of Trio's you have there. Now I will need to dig out the set that I still have for some pictures. HL

I think Buck was working on the Empress Trio set for many years before it finally came out. I remember seeing it mentioned in company newsletters from the 60's. The earliest sets I've seen actually had injection molded handles and the BUCK* stamp David mentioned. I've only seen 2 complete sets like that and their box is lined in red velvet and hinged...not made to be a wall hanger like the more popular set that ITE found for $5...wow!
One Christmas, if I remember right it was in the late 60's, Chuck and Frank gave a set to the wives of each of the shop supervisors. I would love to find one of those! If I did, I might even pop for $10 on the set! :D

Thanks Joe. I can tell you had a good weekend. I'd love to stumble on to one of the early Empress knives stamped Buck*.
But I enjoy finding any of them. DM

I dont even have pictures of them, they are that rare! :) Something tells me that if anyone is going to find a set, It will be ITE! A lot of them found homes in the southern California area after all.

Joe, I sure hope I can find one... If I do, you'll be the first one to know... I'm on the hunt for one, now... ;)

Just wanted to thank ITE for starting this thread. Ever since I saw his Empress Trio I've been wanting one and finally was able to score a set. Can't wait to get them into my hands and into the kitchen. The plan now is to follow up with a complete cutlery set early next year that way I can keep my trio all to myself and let the little woman enjoy the new set.

When you get it post pictures of it. DM

I'll sure try. Was going to post some pics in the last SPS of some custom shop 110's I just received but discovered that my lovely bride decided to loan my camera to our daughter who, until yesteday couldn't remember where it was but finally found it and returned it, WITH DEAD BATTERIES!

Should have my set next week so pics will be a few days away.

It needs to be said that Armand could fall into a cesspool and come up with a rose in his teeth. Maybe he could buy my lottery tickets!

Well, I just get lucky some times... You should see what I don't get... I wish all of you guys could find good deals on Bucks... Just keep looking...

I'm been looking more for U.S. coins than Buck knives... ITE ... ... :) ...
