trucks

2004 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L cummins diesel engine. Gerber LMFII ASEK under the seat and strap cutter in glove box. Cheapo Jeep brand folder in center console in case I forget my EDC griptillian.

2002 Ford Ranger extended cab. 4.0L V6.

Gerber MT in console and Ontario SP Quartermaster fixed blade in truck box. No folders in the truck, I'm usually carrying it on my person.

I drive a 99 F 150 Lariat 4x4. I bought it as a rollover at auction when it had about 40,000 miles on it. After fixing it I have driven it 80,00 miles and through 7 hard Alaskan winters. It has given me no trouble.

I drive an 02 Ford Ranger FX4 with 110,000 on it. Had some expensive repairs but overall a good truck. I have a Ka Bar Dozier clipped to the visor, a Leatherman Wave in the console and a Cold Steel Bushman in a BOB behind the seat.

99 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 w/ some 33" Destination AT and a couple cranks of the torsion bars. Has 199K(purchased @ 149K) and no serious issues in my ownership. I only keep some cheap knife in the tool case in the rear, as I always have either my skyline or grip on me.

I drive an 02 Tacoma 4X4 which in excellent condition...I carry an Endura,a

LM super tool, and an old hatchet.

94 F150 regular cab 2WD. 5 liter V8 dual fuel, with auto propane as my primary fuel. Rust proofed each year, still much like new.

I have a 2003 F150 extended cab stepside with the 4.6L small V8. I bought it new when the new Ford body style came out because I didn't like it. I had basically the same truck before it except it was a '98. Neither one have given me the first problem except I had a brake caliper go out on the '98. The one I have now is paid off and only has 50k miles on it.

I would like to get a used F250 with a diesel but it is pretty nice not having a truck payment. Plus I have babied my truck and it is in great condition and has a ton of life left in it. It would probably be dumb to get rid of it right now. I could keep it and get the F250 but I don't drive very much and having 2 trucks seems a little stupid. Buying a little economy car that gets really good gas mileage would be a much wiser purchase.

My daily driver is a '99 Explorer, and I'm trying to work up the courage to spring for a new or like new F-150 Supercrew 4x4.

In the Explorer I have an Ontario RAT-7, a Leatherman Supertool 300, an Opinel folding saw and a Gerber mini hatchet.

1999 Chevrolet Z-71 extended cab. I keep a number of blades buried int he truck. Couple of machetes under the seat and a CS Roach Belly in the console with all the other FAK/flashlight/nonsense.

I drive a 2001 GMC Sierra Z71 off road Extra cab. It's been a great truck with VERY few problems over the years (knock on wood:D) My fourth GM truck in a row as well:thumbup:

I usually keep a folder in the console. Currently it's a Kershaw JYD II. At times, especially if I'm heading up to the Sierras I bring along a good fixed blade as well. Usually my K-9 Dingo.

I drive a Dodge Ram 1500 4X4, I keep a Vic Rescue tool and Leatherman ST300 in the console, I don't keep a fixed blade because I am in the Army and get searched at the gate to my Base from time to time so a fixed blade is out.

2006 Nissan Frontier Extra cab. It is 6 cyl and gets 20 miles to the gallon. The only thing bad about it is the turning radius sucks. You cannot even flip a u turn on a regular street. Our Yukon can even do that. Otherwise, it is a great truck 100k with no issues at all. It will fling you forward when you throttle it, which I like. I wish it was a 4x4 but oh well. I carry a fixed blade Robeson Navy knife that I rehandled with lignum vitae, and an old Ka Bar lock back that is a beater. They both tend to stay dedicated to my truck.

'02 Toyota Tacoma TRD - 110,000 trouble free miles.

Knives? What I always have on me - a soldier SAK and a Spyderco Armorer's Endura.

Niiiiiice truck Noodle!

At 6'7" tho, I need an ext cab or a backseat. I love the older trucks but dont fit into them too well.

what make/model trucks you all drive ? AND whats your truck knife ? mine is a 09 toyota tacoma. got a old western fixed blade in the door pocket with flashlite. and buck 110 in the tool box. i think of these knives as emergency " tools " , not weapons.

Truck: 1999 Tacoma TRD. 170,000 miles and runs great! Knives I mostly keep on me, except for the machete and axe in the back.
