Pfffft! You want the truth? Are you sure you can stand it? OK, here it is. There is no "peanut knife". There once was. Many years ago it was created by Presidential Candidate Jimmy Carter, a Georgia peanut farmer, as a campaign promotional. Some few originals can still be found occasionally. Everything made to day called "peanut" is a poor attempt to recreate Mr. Carter's epic original. Few are so lucky as to own one.

In the movie "Crocodile Dundee", the script called for a peanut to be used by the street thug who would attempt to rob Mr. Dundee. Mr. Dundee would then state the famous line "That's not a knife...." and pull his bowie. Screen testing of the film showed that the scene would be "too unbelievable" for audiences to accept and that the movie would be an abysmal failure due to the faux pas. In an attempt to adjust the movie for higher success path, the scene was reshot with the street thug using a switch blade. The scene became the most famous part of the movie.
 
Bobby Darin's 1959 hit song, "Mack the knife" (Popularized first by Louis Armstrong in 1955) was originally written as "Mack the Peanut", but it was dubbed over by both artists because fans did not get the reference and it did not chart. After the change, it went on to become #1 on the billboard charts for Darin, and Louis Armstrong's signature song.
 
Once upon a time, Chuck Norris was having a beer at a bar, and ran into Steven Seagal. They got into an argument as to who was the better draw at the box office. The argument got very heated. Steven pulled a large tanto and challenged Norris to a dual. Norris squinted fiercely, and slowy pulled out a peanut. Steven Seagal was last seen moving his bulk home as fast as he could.

Rumor has it, that Chuck Norris's beard can only be shaved with a peanut.
