I just wanted to take a minute to say I found TNK and have placed a few orders in the past couple months. Neil is a super good guy to deal with and I would reccomend TNK to anyone. I think all too often we hear bad but not so much when we run into a very good company or individual . So thank you Neil and True North Knives for some great purchasing experiences. And anyone looking for a quality dealer check TNK out I think you'll be more then satisfied.

+1. True North did something I have NEVER experienced before. After I ordered and paid I got a confirmation email. Maybe a day later I got a second email saying they had overestimated the shipping costs and they were refunding the difference to my card! I've recommended them ever since.

I couldn't agree more. I was at the NYCKS and bought a custom that didn't have a box. I was searching for a pouch and happened by TNK, I saw they had a couple leather pouches and asked the lady if I could buy one. She asked Neil how much to charge and Neil said, just give it to him, no worries.

That is first class right there, for a retailer to understand giving a customer a $10 item that makes them happy is beneficial in the long term is lost on many of these guys. It's not on Neil. I put him & TNK up the list on my order from first list.

Neil is a straight up business man who truly cares about what he sells and more importantly, his clientele.
Whether you are buying a basic production knife, or a four figure custom, TNK will treat you with respect.

I hope the Mod's (this time), put you whining troll's in your places (you & cowchip), & prevent you from once again, attempting to derail an otherwise positive thread.

Please, for God's sake, put your butt hurt experiences in the past...& maybe think about getting the help you need:

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion!!! I have heard good things and bad things about True North Knives!!

I respect everyones right to their own opinion. Sometimes our perceptions are from a miscommunication that turns into more. I can only speak for myself and my experiences ... and in all my years buying selling trading knives or guns ... Neil is one of the nicest Ive dealt with and he went out of his way to help me get a deal done at a time that for him was difficult. And that and the smoothness of my other transactions with him have earned him a customer for life. And a friend.

If your experience was not as exemplary as mine I'm sorry that you missed out on a great dealer and a man that went above and beyond in our dealings.

Best of luck with the dealers you have found to be your go to's.

Prevent them sharing their opinions? This thread will not turn in to another juvenile name-calling session. If you can't handle the conversation, see your way out of it.

Are you referring to the flashlight guy, whose only motivation in joining BF, was to come on here & rag about his flashlight buying problems (which by the way didn't even occur on this site), & then turn his sabotage campaign, against a respected dealer here?

I think that your perspective is a little myopic, Mr. Morrow.

Thanks..I'll work on that. My earlier post still stands.

There's a lot of false information here. I have been on BF long before posting that thread. I'm not running a sabotage campaign. I'm posting my feedback on interactions with two dealers. This is the feedback forum: the good, the bad, and the ugly!

What exactly is your direct experience with TNK?

I think you saw how he called me a jerk in the flashlight thread and claims to have banned me from ever buying a knife from him (not that I'd want to ever do business with him, and it's not like he knows my real name or anything).

maybe so, but he did say he talked with the light maker fellow and got his story......so he might know your real name.

If that's true, then Prometheus lights aka Jason Hui aka darksucks is at fault for the release of personal information that I didn't allow.

So do you have any first hand experience with doing business with this entity? Is your only experience with the owner that he hurt your feelings on the internet?
