Tuning up for the DOTD

Edutsi - There are 3 buttons that show at the end of the test. One says "Forum Link" and has a copy button. Click on the Copy button and then when you come here, use the inser hyperlink function (the globe with the chain links) to insert it.

I did the Chicago server tonight instead of Cinci...a little bit faster.

Thanks Uwinv, Looks like I'm still on the short shrift of things...:( One more day after today and I'm going to start raising all Billy Blue H E Double Toothpicks with AT&T!!!!

Close Edutsi...the copy link button had it's own img tags...that's why yours has them showing as text.

Lets see if I can do it right today. Whether slow or not I'm considering myself lucky just to be online today as it was early afternoon before I could get back on after getting kicked off yesterday around 5:30 p.m. or so.

i installed a wireless modem and have had problems ever since. loss of wires cost me in other ways.

Still...you can hit the net in the kitchen...the porch...the neighbors...

It's worth it to me.

would like faster... but I'm limited to a WiMax ISP... unless I want to be on the lame campus network... cant wait till I finish up school and get my own place

Hell, Ted, I'm running a 3 Mb/SEC connect asynchronous DSL. Are you on a cable modem? I've only dreamed about speeds like that. Because of attenuation I'm only getting about 2.3 Mb/SEC. You must be on one fat backbone connection.

For years I was the fastest guy on my block, clear up until about 9 years ago. I had a 384K dedicated ISDN line. Cost me $140/mo through PacBell, and the Ascend Pipeline 75 ISDN modem ran $1300. :D Everyone else had a 56K modem that was realistically doing about 33, and I just blew them away.

How times change...

Norm

It's a fiber optic network that has the potential for 50Mb/s, but they want more money to go over 10Mb/s. There are a few guys here that are faster.

Well I'm considerably better today than I was the last time I checked, now if AT&T will just get my landline back in operation.:grumpy:
