Well I got my first Turley knife in the mail today. A Model 23, Spring Creek PSK. I love it! Havn't had a whole hell of alot of time lately, but I got to play with it a little. also made a little neck/pocket sheath for it so I can carry more then just in my altoids tin. Also wrapped the handle with some jute twine for a little more comfort and to just have it on there just in case.

I will be testing it out more in the future, but for now I can say it's awesome!

Very nice man!! Great work on the sheath. Im gonna have to have you teach me some leather skills sometime.

J,
Don't expect to much. I usually have to make two sheaths, one to screw up beyond repair and one to send with the knife.:o
But yeah, I can show you what I know.

Skaberdude,
Glad you like the psk. I like the jute warp you've got on it, emergency tinder and grip. The sheath is cool, too.
Looks good.

Well, last week was a kick in the teeth. I had two hidden tangs to do and they bogged things down a bunch. I love doing them but I'm gonna have to quit offering them, they just take way to long for me to get right. So for a while anyway these two will be the last of the hidden tangs from the shop.

A blackwater. I didn't care for the way I shaped the pommel on this one but the customer loved it and that's all that matters.

The other one is a Turley Branch. Huge knife. 21 separate pieces that had to be cut out, drilled, flatted and glue up. This one took a while.

Then today I got two more done.

A soldier river. Probably the prettiest handle combo I've ever done. Olivewood and red g10 spacers. This knife is 1/4" thick 1095

And then I finally finished the one shot knife that I started on a few weeks ago. I've been working on it in my non existent spare time. This one will be available in about three days if it doesn't sell on my website first.
I gotta say, I love this knife. It's 1/4" 5160.

Looks like you've been busy. I really like that Soldier River, although it looks strange to me in a color other than OD. I will always associate that model with IA's knife.

Just received my new Soldier River. Green micarta and red liners. What a nice blade. Put her to the test batoning some gnarley grained, seasoned maple into materials for a one stick fire. The knife performed brilliantly. I made some feather sticks and lit the curls with a ferro rod. No need to scrape tinder, the 01 steel and sharp spine showered sparks which readily ignited the fine curls. Nice job Iz, my first Turley passes one of many tests. Now for a sheath.

I know what you mean. It kind of throws you off seeing it with some color.

Mike,
Can't wait to see the rest of the tests.
I'm telling you, you should post more often. You've got good info to share.

Got a batch of 8 psks done today. Only about twenty-ish more to go.

Also finished up a Soldier River. This one is a full height grind instead of the usual varied grind. Brown canvas micarta with 1/8" od spacers

Thanks for looking.

I like the look of that Solider River with the tube pins. The combo of the (2) materials fits together well. It does look like a completely different knife with the full grind though.

I know, that's weird how that works ain't it? You would think a straight grind line would change the look that much but it sure does.
