Is there any particular difference in function between those and other strops?
 
I have no idea.

I founds him through a video that JDAVIS did on YouTube, then watched a couple more then just Googled him.
 
I have that exact Stropman strop. I must say, it's pretty nice. I like that you can order it with three suede surfaces and one smooth leather. It's a bit short compared to the DLT strop, but it makes up for it in width. It's a nice go to strop.
 
Sorry.....the "JDAVIS...YouTube" response was an answer to "Is Stropman a Paying Vendor here?"

My answer was I don't know...I found him outside of BladeForums.
 
Ok, so no one else has said it yet, you can't link to this vendor unless they are a paying vendor.
 
I also have that same exact strop. Have had it for awhile and love it. I ordered it with one smooth side myself. It is a very good strop that also handily stores the different compounds inside itself. Very nice.

Come on, now. There are vendors who pay for the right to sell to Bladeforums' members. I don't know if there are any who sell strops, but if there are, the customer-base that they paid for access to just got turned towards a non-vendor to buy a strop.

But why go straight to the Mods? Why not PM the OP or assume he doesn't know the rules and politely inform him in the thread? Kinda like an adult would do. We were all new here once.
 
You people that were giving the OP S**t about liking a brand of strop was way out of proportion! He wasn't even deal spotting! Too the OP: I have a HD strop from him and I have a similar opinion on it. I don't know how I survived with out it so long!
