I'd like to know what everyone thinks are their top 5 or so choices of TV series that they REALLY think are worth owing on DVD. Here would be some of my choices: (I don't actually own all of these). NOTE: Your favorite series may not be the ones that you'd like to own on DVD, I am basing this mostly on shows on replayability rather than entertainment, if that makes sense.
1) Kung Fu
2) MASH
3) Star Trek: Next generation
4) Miami Vice (don't laugh)
5) Munsters
6) The Simpsons.

Sopranos
Fawlty Towers
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Red Dwarf

I've got all or part of these (and would very much like to finish the incomplete ones). Also the Band of Brother's miniseries.

I definitely want to get started on The Simpsons as well. M*A*S*H would be cool, but it's not like Halmark channel doesn't run 2 hours worth (3 times a day) every day.

I would like to have ER, St. Elsewhere, MacGuyver, and PBS' Dr. Who and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on DVD. Not necessarily because of their replayability, but because I haven't seen all of the episodes, despite enjoying each series.

Highlander-- (c'mon this is a blade forum)

Reno 911-- -Comedy Central

Action----- Comedy Central, Jay Mohr, Buddy Hackett (not available, but sometimes you can find someone who has burned one)

Simpsons. (I haven't watched it in years, but I'd like to have the whole series to watch for fun)

Seinfeld (maybe, I've never really watched it, but when I have Its funny, so I guess I'd watch it and there is a ton of episodes)

Willd Wild West (Robert Conrad)

I know its six, but I saw the Simpsons and had to add that.

The new Battlestar Galactica.
IMO some of the best television to ever air.

Something that's been bugging me all these years; how come none of those bad guys ever bothered to search Jim West? I mean, come on, the dude had knives in his sleeves, and friggin explosives hidden in his boot heel, for crying out loud! ;) :D

I loved that show, by the way.

Dan, the answer to that is simple. Because that stuff was high-tech and top secret in those days. You can't search for something that you have no concept of, the bad guys couldn't have even guessed about the existance of such items. That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.

Kind of like the old Poirot series. He would look at the Inn's guestbook and the killer would have put his real name in. ;)

Fireflight
West Wing

Fireflight? Do you mean "Firefly"? That was a great show. Too bad it got canned. I think the movie Serenity is gonna more than make up for it.

Faulty Towers
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Babylon 5
Muppet Show

Ah, thanks. Let me correct that...

The X-files, man, where are you guys?
I thought about that, but once you've seen the episodes once, it just doesn't do it for me anymore. Suspense and venturing into the unknown balance and entertain on what you don't know. Once you do know, something is lost.
Anyone here own/ want to own the Twighlight zone? and/or related stuff?
