TV series REALLY worth owning on DVD.

Hi All-
  • The Brady Bunch
  • Gilligan's Island
  • Moisha
  • Facts Of Life
OK, OK...I'm just kidding. Tried to remember the most inane shows possible for this list. ;)

My list would include, had I the money:
Have Gun, Will Travel
Babylon 5 (the entire 5 year arc plus the couple of specials that they did)
Buffy
Angel
PBS' Horatio Hornblower series
PBS' Scarlet Pimpernel series
PBS' Lord Peter Whimsey series by Dorothy Sayers from back in the 1980s
PBS' Sherlock Holmes series
Shogun
PBS' UXB series
and, if they ever bring them out, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Laugh In"

We only have one TV series on DVD, but that one is a perennial favorite at my house:

Strangers with Candy seasons 1, 2, and 3.

Jerry's Dad, Principal Blackman, Mr. Noblet and Mr. Jellyneck, what great characters. One of my favorite series.

I'd also LOVE to have "Get a Life" on DVD.

Check eBay lately? You'll find it there, and probably at Amazon, I just looking at the listings today, in search for the best series out there.

I had checked a while a go and all I found were duped copies from vhs tapes, which I wouldn't trust to be too good....but, just checking on Amazon as you say and it shows there but not released yet,

see this link Wild Wild West

also just checked and Brisco County Jr is also now listed but not released yet, yippeee :)

I clicked to be emailed when they both become available! thanks for the heads up!

I'm glad somebody mentioned Scrubs. I think that was one of the best first seasons of any sitcom ever. I'd also vote for the Simpsons and Seinfeld.

I already have Fawlty Towers on DVD. That is, I think, the funniest TV series ever in history.

I have the Red Green Show too. Now that's funny stuff.

I was recently given a year of the Bob Newhart Show. I had forgotten how funny that show was.
