oh, speaking of freaking out... i just learned something entertaining about tweeners. i don't THINK i can say anything about it right now, other than suggest you will like the news when you hear it - well, some of you - the rest will be like - eh :) it'll just make your decisions harder and the freakout more intense. i've inquired about it, and the powers that be will get back to me ;) doing my part for your loyalty ;)

Very cool news, I wonder what it could be :-) One question though. What do you think the lag time will be between when the tweeners are "released" at shot show and when we could pick one up at an online dealer? Hopefully it's not too long!
 
lag time - no idea! depends on if KaBar pre-ships and/or dealers already committed to buy, and various factors.

i'm sure a couple of those guys will be in the loop faster than mere mods would know. example: the BK5 was for sale for days, even a week or so, before anyone clued me in ;) go figure.

guess what happens if you search google for "becker knife bk 16"... go ahead guess! not a lot :> so, not much news yet. most of it pointing right here to this forum and the blade database...

so as far as most information goes, we're it. we have the scoop, such as things go.

how's that for making with the talk?

Thanks for the info!!!! To be honest this is way better news than I was expecting, I was thinking the answer would be something along the lines of "oh well its usually around two months minimum"

Bladite, I hope your secret news is that . . . the Tweeners are going to be released both with and without the coating! That would be awesome! I recently stripped my 2 & 14 & even though it was super easy & didn't take long at all, it would be great to be able to buy them without the coating in the first place, right? Anyways, I'm probably wrong, but that's my (hopeful) guess!

Ugh. The waiting mixed with Bladite teasers is just plain torture. I'd rather be succumbed to Chinese water torture or jumper cables hooked up to my nips. Just sell me a damn tweener already. Just sucks they ain't out for Xmas because I'd fill up my stocking , but after the credit card bills will be so high ill prob only be able to get one of each :(
 
Yeah, I wanted them to be out for christmas so I could get my girlfriends little brother one. I guess i'll have to get him that gerber he shows me everytime I go over to visit.

actually, it's not a secret that all the new ones will be essentially duracoated :> the coating is so special you can't remove it, and once you find out what it's made of you won't want to even try. you wouldn't want that on your hands. ask flexxx about it ;)

I'm borderline freaking out about this.

I'm currious what this new secret might be. My guess, there must be some sort of BH deal, or BH contest for these things. Also, maybe its the results from the naming contest?

Nice photoshop! That looks real. Now, since you're that damn good, I wanna see the same knife, with the blade stripped. ;)
