I've put these up elsewhere, but this thread could benefit from some in-hand shots too.

I see from the previous post that people have somehow gotten their hands on those...
I wonder if sexual favours were involved

For some reason, I'm craving a Triscuit with some sharp cheddar.
Hey Folks,
I wasn't going to say anything because my opinion is probably of no importance to Ethan or Ka-Bar but I can't keep it to myself: I think that the Tweeners - especially the drop point version - have a great potential. Of course I only saw pictures but I'm convinced that the ergonomics will be beyond awesome - better than any Esee 3 or 4.
But in my opinion there are two aspects that might keep these knives away from being perfect:
1. These knives need to be full flat ground. No sabre grinds or at least a really really high sabre grind. I expect these knives to be nothing but perfect slicers so there is really no need to enhance the stability of the "backbone" by adding a sabre grind. Of course I would love to see thin edges and thin blades. Go for a slicing monster!!!! For abusive tasks you can use your bk2/bk7/...
2. Maybe it's just me but I guess most guys around here prefer micarta over grivory. So please consider an additional version with micarta scales. Of course an aftermarket solution is better than nothing but it is somehow annoying. Esee knives come with micarta or g10 handles and I have never seen someone asking for grivory or nylon or zytel handles for their Esee blades.
Concerning my first point: i'm a hobby knife maker and I know what i'm talking about. Never had any problems with full flat grinds and the new mark 1 demonstrates that ka-bar can make it happen!!!
I'm really looking forward to the tweeners. I have never been so excited about an upcoming knife - and i have seen a lot.
By the way: this post was written on an iphone. Maybe this emphasises how much I care about the tweeners!!!!
Cheers,
J5
