Tweeners are fricken sweet.

Maybe i am guilty of being out in left field here & i am certainly no expert & do not make knives---although i wish i could, so here goes. Everyone has a different idea of what the perfect knife is, be it large or small, thick or thin, long or short, wide or not, full flat grind or not, one type of point over another. In my book, options are GOOD. I love options. Well, that is just what they are going to give us, options. 5 to be exact. Choice of 3 blades & 2 different handles (eventually). Want a slicer, the mini-camp-magnum. Want a bushcrafter with more strength, the mini-BK2. Want a sharper point for defense, the clip-point. I think it is brilliant the way they are doing them. I just hope the price point is good. I have held them & IMHO, they are ALL winner/winner/chicken dinners. The micarta handles are PERFECT. Those 2 little extentions by the lanyard hole need to stay for sure. I will be having one of all 3 in my household. If the solid grivory is a real issue, i am sure a Dremel will also be in my future.

snip...

so on 1) why do you think they are going to be sabre ground? afaik, two will at least be flat ground... and the magnum camp if anything would be a (high) flat saber. no hollow grinds here. the mini magnum camp is quite the slicer. nothing to fear.
most pictures depicting the tweeners show the drop point and the bowie-version with sabre grinds so i made my conclusions. i really hope i'm wrong :). full flat grinds kick ass :).

and 2) by default, as a rule, grivory is it, and most people are happy. micarta is an option. if you want it, you buy some. it's not to everyone's liking. the option is buying some - reasonable price too i expect.

i bet if ESEE offered grivory/etc, someone might actually buyt it ;)

you may be right...as long as the micarta scales are going to be reasonably priced everything should work out fine.

Thanks buddy, well said and I'm 100% in agreement. Sometimes it's a waste if energy trying to dig the fly turds out of the pepper.
The Tweeners rock and I'm happy to wait for the good stuff.:)
