John, I agree - this is one of the visually nicest looking knives I've seen come out of your shop.

Wood scales with bolsters in addition to the micarta slabs.
 
Not a chance. I don't care how much the wood is supposedly stabilized, it will still eventually shrink and create a gap.

That guy never replies to my emails, don`t know why. I used his material one time when a customer sent me some for his knife. I was not all that impressed.
 
Towards the end of the month I'm planning on making a slightly shorter version out of 1" tall stock, a bit more "puuko like", if that makes any sense.

The Twig Mangler has arrived in the cornfields!

It was frozen solid after being in my mailbox for several hours, but after thawing out I took some quick pictures -

John - I am VERY pleased with the TM - it's a beauty, and you really did a great job on the knife.

so, i am curious to hear more about what you're thinking with this alternate version. do you have dimensions in mind? out of curiosity, what is the current stock height?

I do have dimensions all figured out for the new one, but I won't go into any details. The TM is 1 1/4" tall at its tallest point.
