Bear, the king Ness ie is cool, but your full ground Saffire burlap Ness ie is a stunner. If you ever are interested in finding her a home, let me know as I was digging for a while trying to figure out where that knife went! Just an awesome handle combo and a sick grind!!!

Thurin, the green burlap woodsman is insane; I just picked up a similar Duke and I can't get home soon enough to see it in person!

Cheers, yeah, both way-cool. The little Ness is an amazing slicer, I'm nervous to let her do anything but kitchen duty but looks great. IF I decide to let her go I'll key you in:)

Thanks MVM! They're both 5/32 O1. The wood is curly quartersawn Oak. It's so pretty I've had a hard time getting it dirty. The burlap is going to get used.

I'm digging the SP! IMHO Andy tweaked the blade shape a bit recently (pointier), and it really looks awesome! Nice Asp as well -- I was starting to wonder if I was the only nat canvas fan around here?!

They're both SFT. Balance point on the burlap (since I'm sitting here holding it) is at the index finger.

Ah, on the index finger. I'll have to note that. On my tapered tang it's on the forefinger and a perfect neutral balance. But it's also blackwood and I don't really know which is more dense.


My twofer tonight is my Woodsman and my Huntsman (Hunter).





I think this Hunter has a Thurin handle :) The tapered Woodsman fits my hand perfectly.

I like those mist. Seeing your Woodsman is why I now have 2.

That hunter does look like it has a good handle for me. :)
