Two For Tuesday

Lots of great two for Tuesdays today gentlemen. Allen and Peter's kepharts take the cake for me. Two absolute stunners.

Day early .. but I'll be away from the laptop tomorrow.

Prom those are amazing! I'm a big fan of ironwood and black micarta (liners, bolsters,etc..) The single mosaic sets off the entire package nicely.

That is an incredible set of knives Peter! The matching file work is amazing!!! Well done Allen!

Thanks for the comments guys. We had to wait a long time for these two to be completed to our specs, however, the wait was well worth it. Allen is a talented craftsman for sure. I have to give credit to my wife on these two. When we visited the Forge back in August she & Allen got the ball rolling. I just went along for the ride......kind of fun when your spouse takes an interest.

Nice duo Bud. I really like the lime green pinstripes with that wood. The tapered tang and mosaic pin on the guardless one add an extra touch of class.

Peter,

It is so nice that your wife shares your interest in fine knives. Those two two knives are veeerrrryyy fine in every way.! Beautiful ironwood, bolsters, tapered tangs, classy file work and mosaic beauty pins. You checked off all the options on those and Allen really brought his "A" game to making those.

So what does your wife want next?

Phil

Thanks for the kind words Phil. So far Susan has claimed a Ladyfinger, a Kephart, an Asp, a Hiking Buddy, a Nessmuk, a BLJ, and now the Minuteman. Last night I snagged a Fletcher Pro6-5 in Shadtree Burgundy, w/ TT & file work that I plan to put in her stocking for Christmas. When she claims a knife, the next thing she does is to find a color of fingernail polish that compliments the knife, and then we take photos.

Here she is hand modeling her Red Magma Kephart:

Now with her Ladyfinger:

I just hope that her desire to fashion accessorize her knives doesn't extend beyond a few bottles of fingernail polish, otherwise I'm skunked.

As of now its been great fun sharing & talking knives with my best buddy in the whole world....tomorrow we'll be celebrating our 37th :D

Really loving these bolsters

'Muk madness! Both pieces look great -- I'm loving the full height grind on the short-muk; great job Rob!

So much good stuff all over the place! The BEB HBs, the ironwood His and Hers, the pair o' muks, and bloodwood pair...:thumbup:

Rob, I like the old and new Muk theme. The blade finish on the WAS Muk is so well polished that you could use it as a mirror while you shave with the other one (a la Mrs. Bud)

Will, Another matching pair for you. Bloodwood has a nice rich color to it and the spalting on both of those is very nice.

It is fun to see all the themes that pop-up in this thread.

Phil
