Two good, ten blems, used one and bargain for 11/19

EMS on Movie Model. I have been waiting for a chirra but the MM just looks too gorgeous to pass up!

I gotta grab myself a little Yangdu knife one of these days. Been seeing a lot if them lately.

Cul, great score on that Gopte. That one has a great belly and curve to it, and those things already scream chopper. That was my top pick, as well as the VBCAK, but I've got 2 of those already. Enjoy man! Definitely wanna see some pics versus a tree

SG, the Yangdu special is a great little knife, one of the highest quality pieces in my collection. You won't be disappointed.

Grats to everyone! Some great knives in this post!
So Arjune is back! Thats khul! Was he the Kami that had an eye injury a while back? Same Arjune that does the Kothimoda sheath metal work? Anybody know?

fishface5, Yangdu did not receive your email...... I told her if it wasn't long gone to set it aside until you make contact.

Please try again.

Yangdu has set Movie Model aside for you, it wasn't grabbed. Try sending her another email, they sometimes just don't get through. himimp@aol.com

I tried to PM or Email you but those options are not available unless you activate them. Keep us posted.

I got an Ugly Villager made by "new kami, Arjun," as Yangdu posted it three years ago. I've always thought it was the precursor to the KLVUK model, except that the UV spine was rounded at the bend instead of angular. It's one of the least expensive and most comfortable of all my khukuris.

I didn't know that Arjun (or Arjune) was Keshar Lal's son, but it makes sense, given the similarity between that Ugly Villager and the very popular KLVUK model introduced by Keshar Lal soon afterward.

Here's a picture of the Ugly Villagers by Arjun from July 2012. The one in the middle is mine: 16" OAL and 23 oz.

I like that! Almost like a mini Tamang.

I remember those being frequent for a little while, never did pick one up myself. 20/20 hindsight, that's what they call that.

I may be mistaken but our Rajkumar Kothimoda Katanas sheet metalwork is done by Arjun.

From my Kothimoda Katana listing:
"Rajkumar made this sword a few years back and it is from old
stock. The silver nickel sheath, beautifully made by Arjun, is worth
more than the asking price. It is decorated with turquoise and coral,
with a little chain for decoration."

Yours is the same Bawanna.

That's true; the blade shape is a lot like a Tamang, but the knife as a whole has more bend than a Tamang. I wouldn't call it "mini-Tamang," though, since it is about the same length and weight as the Tamangs that I've seen. Bigger, in fact. I have two Tamangs. I just checked and they're both 16" OAL and 20 oz.

I think the Ugly Villager had a pretty short run, as it was soon replaced by the KLVUK model and I never saw another UV again.
