Two is better than one! Knife pairs!

A pair of Northfield Lockbacks, #42 in Copperhead Jigged Bone and #72 in Burnt Orange Jigged Bone

Gev, being unemployed, I stay home quite a bit, and just wear cutoff sweatpants for comfort.
The SW resides permanently in the pocket (except on wash day!), so I carry it practically all the time.
The thin blades are a complete joy to cut with!

So very interesting, Jeff. The man with an incredible selection of knives carries the Schrade Walden every day!! I knew I wanted one:D

One of my favorite jigged bones from GEC is their Burnt Grizzly Cut Bone.

#54s: 3-backspring Whittler and Big Jack (my first ever GEC)

Here's a different sort of knife pair.

I don't carry them both at the same time as my habit is to carry a modern folder with a slipjoint. They are however, among my favorite and most carried knives. I've had the Ohta for almost four years now, and carrying it made me realize that I prefer single blade knives in the 3 3/4" size range.

The Northfield is pretty much the same size, and in the pocket these two knives are indistinguishable. I received it as a gift last year when my wife noticed me checking out some #73s. What a savvy woman, she got me a knife that is similar to one I treasured, yet different enough that it quickly found a spot in the carry lineup.

So, lets see your "matching" pairs.

Not exactly what you're describing, but I usually do carry (at least) two knives with me every day.

My Daily Pair almost always consists of one knife from Pile A...

... and one knife from Pile B:

(No knives were dropped, dinged, allowed to slide into one another, or otherwise harmed in the posing of "Pile B." ;))

Now THAT is funny. I don't care what your point of view.

What's that one under the fixed blade and two folders over to the right?

Seriously though, great image.

A and B gave me good laugh and a pause to reflect of my own weaknesses......used this photo over in Buck forum just now so it is still easily shared.
My knees may say stay off the mountain but I can still carry the elk with me.....300

Buck 340 and 309 in elk horn.

Very nice! I love going to the Buck factory, I live about 30 mins away and it's always a treat. I really like that 309.

Been smitten by the Chambriards as of late, here are the latest two that I team up to carry, one in a belt sheath, one in a watch pocket, seems to blend nicely ;)

Wow Sarah, suddenly I don't feel so self conscious about my "ahem" accumulation :) As I've said before, you have excellent taste in cutlery

Looks like a Blind Horse Knives Frontier First with green canvas micarta scales. Pure coincidence, I was looking at them online today and nearly bought one. They any good Pertinux?
