Two new additions on the Web Specials page today

From what I was told, the Bone handled 110 were over sold but they found enough material to build enough to cover the orders. Don't know if it is true but if it is, it speaks volumes to BUCKS customer service and doing what they can to keep the people who support them and in business happy.

Humm. Interesting and I would agree, very commendable. Wonder if the "material" they found pertains to just the bone for the scales or perhaps we might see some blades with different markings?

Got my six yesterday...Of the 4 110s in bone they are nearly all perfect...Hard to pick a EDC one, but there is a little more "grain" in one of them so that moves into my EDC pile....The bone skinners are very nice but bit smaller blade then I pictured them as, but perfect otherwise! I had to polish the skinners as they were very tarnished in the leather sheaths....Anyone notice the 2010 dates on the 110s and the 2011 dates on the skinner? Guess they have been sitting for awhile....

I just checked the box dates on the two bone 110's I got and wow, they're both marked on my birthday in 2010. That's cool. One of my bone skinners is dated 12/03/09 and the other one 8/29/11. I'll have to locate the one I bought last time they were available and check it's date.

Thats really cool Dave. Almost sounds like someone at Buck was trying to surprise you :D

Well I got in both the bp and cow bone 110s that I ordered and I must say I am very disappointed... with the fact that I only ordered one of each!

For those of us that completely, totally, utterly, and irrevocably missed out on these new web specials due to not checking this forum for a couple weeks : ( , maybe someone would post some pictures of their new knives so we can see what we missed out on? None of the knives mentioned in this thread appear to be on the web special page anymore......

Sorry about your missing out on these web specials.

Here is a link to a thread in this forum with the Rosewood and the Cow Bone 110's pictured.

My 110's came yesterday. Have the 2011 tang and boxes all dated 8/22/11.

But for the life of me, I do wish that Buck would do a better job of matching scales.

These are so mis matched it is sad. I guess I would have never paid much attention to it if just one. But when you have 10 scales to compare, it sorta jumps out at ya. Of the 10 scales, at least three knives could have had matching scales.

We have talked about this in the past, unfortunately Buck hasn't listened. Otherwise, they are incredible knives.

These blades are incredibly sharp.

I bet it's just a case of being accustomed to not needing to match the Dymondwood scales used on most 110s - they 'think' the cow bone scales are highly uniform. In that vein, my two new BPS 110s, which arrived last night, are fine with their nearly perfectly matched RW scales. My '07 version, however, looks like it was started one day and finished the next week. I seem to recall some dissatisfaction with the last of the Cabela's AG 110s in stag, too.

It must be true. I ordered on June 1st and the knives arrived June 13th. The build dates (label) on the 2 bone handled knives I received was June 5th, (2012). They must have done some last minute put togethers from leftovers.

What are the odds. I received two bone handled 110's with boxes dated my birthday also. I ordered the knives on Friday June 1st and the box dates are my birthday 06/05/2012. They must have been doing some last minute assembly to cover orders.

Got my third skinner from Matt and it is tops as the other two are! It would seem that Buck made a bunch of bone handle 110s to fill the order and that makes them tops in my book!!!!
