Two of the same knives

Yes its sad ..if i find a knife i like or even if the price is too hard to walk away from..i buy multiples..i have 3 buck revolutions, 3 kershaw mini cyclone, 3 kershaw barrages, 2 kershaaw skylines, 2 crkt ryan knives, just to name a few..i have more multiples..lol

Some of my blades I like so much, that I want to buy seconds of them. I have this inert fear , that if I lose one, I won't be able to replace it , even if it's a factory knife. Plus, you can have one in two places at once.

How many of you own doubles of knives , and how do you feel about owning two of the same ?
Some guys own that one, good knife all their lives , and never worry about it , but I like to have back-up.

I haven't read this thread yet so what I say has probably already been said. there is NOTHING wrong with you for wanting to do this! I, and a lot of others here at BF, have done the very same thing. That inert fear also resides in me!:):)

I've had a few doubles for various reasons, always with knives I have no problem owning multiples of. Sometimes the extra is purchased for trade purposes.

2 CRKT Companions.I bought one and traded for another. I would rather get a new design knife than one I already have.

Had a few BM doubles, a Brend and a Bowie. Gave one of each away to my sons. If I like a particular style or design, I will buy the larger and smaller blade versions of that style for example, the BM Stryker where I have one of each.

3 Buck 110, 5 if you count the other 2 non-110's with the same blade shape.
3 SOG Twitch II
3 Vic Cadet
2 CRKT Apache
2 CRKT Seahawk
2 Kershaw Scallion

I thought it was just me. If I like a particular knife I'm not happy until I have at least 4 or 5 stashed away. Shrade LB3s & the 3 1/4 Vic Tinker comes to mind.
But I do the same thing with customs. If I like a makers work gotta have several knives before I'm satisfied.

yep. That's the right idea IMO

Oh yeah, especially if it is a smoking deal. Years ago I found some Paragon folders. About 4 inch half serrated blade in a zytel like frame for about 14.00. I should have bought everyone I could get. I will also on occasion gift one to someone close. I seems to make it more special when you have one just like it.
