If anyone can give me some advice and getting some knives from a person they were purchased from? one was sent back to the maker for sharpening in october of last year and was told the other would be ready by opening day of hunting season last year. I have not recieved either knife and both have been paid in full. I am getting quite upset that this person is avoiding my emails and attempts to contact them on this forum. They have recieved full payment for both knives, all checks have cleared and i still have NO knife from this member in hand. As can be immagined i am a bit upset. If the knife that is being built is not ready, Just say so. as for the one i sent for sharpening I WANT MY KNIFE back! I love the work and the quality but the service is getting to be a point of disgust to me.

Outing them here is a good start, you need to divulge their info. to get their attention. If they remain anonymous they will be free to do this again and again.

+1 dealers who get a bad reputation here often times to much less business. Its good incentive to make things right if they are in fact legitimate.

If it was just a scam then I still wanna know about it so it doesn’t happen to me.

seemed this person had been honest with me up until the final check for the second knife had been mailed and cashe, GO FIGURE. This person is a long time member in this forum and i respect his work. and I would like to give him a chance to come forward with the purchased products before I drop a name on the floor to get trampled. I have emailed him 3 times in last 6 weeks and tried to contact him once by Private message via the forum. please sir you know who you are and I would like my products or at least a response! Thanks

If you do not want to out the person maybe contact a super Mod such as Esav or Bastid and they can PM this person and direct them to this thread.

my suggestion.

odd.

i can understand the delay in building a knife, but a sharpening should have only taken a couple weeks at most.

not returning calls/emails or providing any update is certainly difficult to understand, though.

since this maker is a member here, try a pm. has he been active here recently?

I just got back in town and had an email from Easy Benyamin. I haven't been able to get in touch with Dale for a while. We may have some sort of email address problem, as the one EB sent me is somewhat different than the one I have on file.I am trying the address EB sent me.
The knives are in fine, I have had some severe delays this past six months. I'm sending him the knives shortly ( after I get in touch with him), with a partial refund for his wait.
I'll post info on getting up with The purchaser.
I stopped taking custom orders back in December, until I get the backlog caught up.

Stacy, it's good to see you make an appearance and take responsibility for the problems with delivery.

Do you not keep old emails from customers? Those emails should have an accurate return address. From the original post it seems that Dale has emailed you recently, so there shouldn't be a problem with it being an out of date address.

I got up with Dale this morning.
Seems his filter has been sending my emails to his SPAM file. There was a difference in the way his old emails were addressed, too, and that may have been part of the problem.

Everything is fine, I have a phone number ,now.
