Two questions for people who carry SAKs...

I probably use the saw the most, 2nd to the main blade of course. The can opener is a very close 3rd. I prefer the Vic model with the small flat head driver. I use it as a phillips usually.

You ask for any tricks. I like to extend the can opener fully and use it as a hook for hot pots, or what have you. I don't like most of the models that have the spine mounted hook, but almost all of mine have a can opener.

P.S. This won't work with the bottle opener or combo tool.

1. Bottle opener.
2. A close call between the corkscrew and the can opener/small tip screwdriver.
3. Oh, and I almost forgot, the tweezers get used alot as well. In fact, they are a must have on any SAK that I EDC.

The awl, because instead of dulling your blade you can stab and open light material like letter, plastic like what comes on DVDs and CDs. I've also used it recently for drilling more holes in my belt, and for my dog's caller. It can also be used for scraping fuzzies and getting sparks from a fire steel.

Then it's the flathead screwdriver. It good for small prying, the tinkering kind of thing. I also use it for screws belive or not.

Scissors, cork screw, (My wife is a wine drinker) knife blade, saw blade, in that order, I usually carry a big 4.5 inch leatherman (Has no scissors) and a SAK with scissors, usually a SAK Outrider or Huntsman, looking to get a fieldmaster next.

the bottle opener and the straight pin. i also use the corkscrew as a scraper sometimes.

Scissors and corkscrew -I am wine drinker. I use corkscrew to untight small knots. Scissors to trim skin around my finger's nails from cuts or dry skin. Drives me knots if piece of skin is loose, so even company I am working for has no knives policy, I always carry sak classic with scissors.

Victorinox Champ. Small blade followed by scissors and can opener.
I have never used that fish scaler/measure thing.
The hook on the back is useful to carry plastic shopping bags (saves blood circulation in the fingers).

Loves me my SAK. Not the coolest in the collection, but probably the most useful and used.

I have never used that fish scaler/measure thing.

Mine gets used quite often, but not to scale fish. Sometimes I measure things with it, but mostly it serves as a probe or an implement to deal with things I can't or don't want to touch with my fingers. Every once in a while I use it as a pickle fork (after a thorough wash, of course. ;))

scissors, screwdrivers, bottle opener, knife; in that order. i've never used the hook that i can remember

Phillips screwdriver and the scissors of the Explorer or Huntsman Lite. The rest are occasional use.

The bottle opener/flathead screwdriver/prybar is fairly handy sometimes.

The awl is also surprisingly useful. Even if there are locking or fixed blades handy, it's often more suitable for putting holes in things since that is what it's designed for.

The woodsaw makes a passable bread knife. It works better with denser breads, like ciabatta.

I use the regular screwdriver / bottle cap opener as a staple puller - just push under the staple and pull out. Works great in a pinch.

Tweezers and stainless steel pin used all the time to pull splinters.

1. During camping I use the saw and can opener a lot, in addition to the main blade. In normal daily life the scissors are my second most used tool, although I do not always carry a SAK with scissors.

2. Not that I know, but I use my SAK's for a lot of things, especially when camping and/or hiking.

Ive got the old soldier right here , after the blade the awl , and the can opener / caplifter.

I really like the awl in this knife.

Actually, I don't use the blade that much. I carry SAKs as a back-up to my other knives and use the other tools a lot more than the blade.
+1
I only carry a SAK because of the tools. Blade duty is handled by my one-hand opener.
