Two questions for people who carry SAKs...

If all my SAK had was the can opener it would still be worth it to edc. It makes such a great little screwdriver for both philips and flathead. I use it twice as often as the knife blade.

I carry an Alox Cadet every day to work and besides occasionally using the main blade I use the small screwdriver to remove staples. I used the knife to cut up my apple at lunch today. Whee! :D

I work in electronics so I have to open a lot of those small sealed bags of parts. The main blade on my OHT struggles with them but the awl works really well, even if I found the Kershaw Leek and other pointy blades work the best. The saw is used quite a bit when I am trimming branches or cutting up some firewood that is a little too thick to break by hand. I used the screw drivers to screw with and ply parts but that is usually less commonly since I normally have my screwdrivers and so on with me. Tweezers work nice to holding small objects and pulling out splinters from my fingers. That happens way too often.

The Alox awl is a great bit f kit . I use it as a fork , scriber , marking tool , and for really abusive cutting ( like fibre glass packing /banding tape). I use the half open cap lifter/screwdriver as a try square ( I did check it against a Starret square first ) . I have used both the Pioneer and Farmer as a crude field expedient plumb bob .

1) The bottle opener, it also works as a prybar, flat head screw driver, and a phillips screwdriver.(if you use the corners)

Roger that,

Also the small corkscrew screwdriver is good for us with glasses. im building a house this year and carry an beat up alox electician in my working pants. I use the sheapfoot/utility/electricians blade a lot.

I have a custom made "Yeoman Mechainc w/long nail file", which is the origional Yeoman with pliers and a long nail file added to the back. The long nail file is the best drywall tool I own, since you can start a pilot hole and then widen it by filing the the exact diameter you need. Like others my SAK blade is "kept in reserve" and kept hair whittling sharp. I've also modified the my tweezers by filing the tips so they are slanted to give me fine and broad tipped tweezers and ground the "wire stripper" to an edge so that it actually works as intended!
