Howdy All!
Just a quick post to Thank Protech for standing behind there products. About a week ago I purchased a used ProTech GodFather from a member in the Exchange for Automatic Knives. I received the knife on thursday 4/10/08 around noon and by 2:30pm it failed. The button became very sticky and the blade had to be pushed shut several times before it would lock. I opened it up and found the shaft between the button and the locking lug had snapped off flush. The knife seemed in excellent condition and I had no reason to contact the member who sold it to me. I opened and closed it about 20 or so times with no problem before it started acting up and then failed. I emailed ProTech a photo of the knife open and the broken part and asked if they would sell me the parts I needed. Dave from ProTech emailed me back within the hour and said he would be happy to send me the parts OR I could send them the knife and $10.00 and they would make it like NEW. The next morning on 4/11/08 I mailed the knife and ten bucks to Santa Fe CA. and today 4/19/08 I received my ProTech GodFather looking like NEW, sharp as a Razor and in a Box like it was Brand Spanking New. I did not receive a box for the knife when I bought it. Also I received a 23 page Color Cataloge. My hats off to the folks at ProTech and I thank you all very very much!!! Regards....~kevin~
