  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Type of steel in Leatherman

My Super tool takes a razor sharp edge and holds it about as well as 440a or so. The fact that both the tool and blades sometimes get rust spots, tell me it is better than 420 rubbish.

Try the Swiss Tool by Victorinox.

They're a bit bulky but I've found it to be the only one with a truly useful knife blade that allows it to replace a pocket knife/folder. It seems to be the same stainless they use in their other knives, which I find to be a good balance between edgeholding and toughness.
Being able to access to the blade(s) without opening up the handles and the one handed locking mechanism add to the overall usefulness for me.
