Amazing news, stoked you're moving forward with these :)

Since the Waki doesn't have a sheath option, will you be sending a sample to someone like Chad to create a leather variant, or do you have other plans? I had one made by him for the Tyrant, which is awesome, even though you supplied a Kydex sheath with it.
Ill make sure some top sheath makers have access to the Waki!

Probably a good idea to leave the pre-order open til folks start to feel whole again after Christmas / NY. I for one am waiting for my Jan 15 paycheck to clear the credit card.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Its a tough time of year for sure with bills. I'm going to leave the pre-order open for awhile and also give people extra time for the deposit.

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in the Pre-Order. This project is a personal dream of mine and to see it finally get life is just incredible.

We are in a tough economy, and its so humbling that you guys are willing to spend your hard earned money to support my work and my dream. None of this is possible without you guys.

I got the steel for both swords ordered today. I'm going to spend the next several months working tirelessly on perfecting all aspects of production on these blades.

Ill post some finished blades and all the final options as soon as I have them in hand.

Dude, speaking from the heart — right now, and in general, you’re one of the people who deserves this the most.

Your blades, your work, your attitude toward what you do and toward us — all of it makes me genuinely glad that I randomly stumbled upon the Huntsman tab on the forum… by the way, almost exactly a year ago, around these same dates.

It’s been an absolutely amazing journey, and I’m really happy we’re going through it together, man!

Because of your knives, your work, and the guys who supported my little reviews of your blades, I literally found one of the most interesting and wonderful hobbies/passions in my life.

Thank you for keeping us in the loop!

This means alot man! Thanks for all the support, reviews, and helpful feedback you've given me over the past year! I keep learning more and more about sharpening and edge retention from your experiments. Here's to laser edges in 2026.

I also think folks are missing out, and there may come a time when you need very sharp elbows to get hold of a Huntsman knife. Maybe these new swords will be the break-out blades.
You know, I think it’ll take some time, but yeah, it’s totally reasonable to look at this as a kind of investment 😅

Because the Z-Tuff steel he’s working with is the toughest beast I’ve ever used. Plus, I feel like Hunter right now has this insane energy, as if he’s directly plugged into a nuclear power plant or something. Over time, I think his blades are going to become way more rare, so yeah — I totally agree with you!

Any gun guys here know Mark Serbu?

His famous line was, "Two weeks"!

It became the running joke amongst the gun industry insiders for the better part of a decade. Funny guy! He set up at our table a couple times at Knob Creek.

I didn't realize the preorder thread was in here, I usually only watch the knifemakers marketplace posts... Will there be a second round of offerings?

Huntsman Knife Co. LLC. Huntsman Knife Co. LLC. - I hope things are coming along nicely, since we're in a new month, I'm wondering if you have any new updates to either of these - design updates, materials, more concept "art"?

We are running the Wakis on the mill here soon so Ill have some pictures of a live blade shortly!

Still waiting on some custom ordered materials for the scales to come in and we haven't started running them yet.

The current timeline is to begin shipping the Wakis in 8 weeks, get them all done, and then go straight into the more complex Katana.
