The Tyrant Bowie wouldn't be a bad choice either. Shorter and easier to carry. For processing game, the tip, rounded belly, and ability to be wielded one-handed might be an advantage. But Hunter is definitely the better authority when it comes to what his blades can do.
Can't go wrong with either, it all depends on what your needs are. For ease of carry, the Tyrant Bowie is the obvious winner, For absolute utility and fun....I think the Bush Waki wins.... A 35in blade can be pretty useful when called upon.

I was convinced POB referred to "Payment or Barter". Who knew??

"Say, If I were to give you enough coconuts..."

Huntsman Knife Co. LLC. Huntsman Knife Co. LLC. - to keep the order thread less cluttered.

I know when you first started talking about these blades, you mentioned you needed enough orders/pre-orders for these projects to move forward. How long are you keeping the order open before you decide you've met the threshold, and maybe you're already there (which would be awesome!), but what happens if you don't meet the said minimum order quantity? Will you be issuing a refund for the deposit, keeping the order open longer, etc.? I'm hoping these are locked in, and regardless of how many orders you get, you'll still proceed, so just curious.

Thanks!

Everyone is locked in and these bad boys are getting made 🙌

I decided before the pre-order that I would get these swords done no matter what. Even if it was in much smaller quantites and with fewer options.

The pre-order has been a success and I can't say thank you enough to everyone who has ordered. I want to make ALOT of these with many variants and options and having a pre-order not only helps me cover the cost of steel and tooling, it also allows me to offer more overall options and explore new concepts.

I'm going to leave the pre-order thread open for about a week or two.

And here I thought I was the one that lawyers people 🤣
What's the Ohio caselaw on contracts of adhesion? Does getting hit by a coconut dropped from a moderate height constitute acceptance of my offer? My swallows are very accurate.

p.s. I'll stop being pedantic when I receive a cease and desist letter. That way I'll know you're serious.

I actually deal with adhesion contracts all the time. Its great because I literally dont have to negotiate anything. 😂

Thank you for this info! I am on the fence on what to do here, and I personally need more time to decide.

Any chance you’ll put out a last call or something? TIA!

For sure! Thinking of it now, there's no reason I can't leave it up a little longer than that even. Its a big commitment and people need time.

Man, that took me down a psychedelic rabbit hole...

First we're talking about coconuts, then contract law, then TIA and I start think about trust indenture, then mini strokes, and finally circle back around to swords again and realize I know why we need the Waki as well as the katana, it's for splitting those damn coconuts!

BTW, I have to negotiate every part of the contracts I deal with!

Remember to add "reasonably" at least once in every paragraph when negotiating. Opposing counsel will love it.

Amazing news, stoked you're moving forward with these :)

Since the Waki doesn't have a sheath option, will you be sending a sample to someone like Chad to create a leather variant, or do you have other plans? I had one made by him for the Tyrant, which is awesome, even though you supplied a Kydex sheath with it.
