Great job man, loved it. First time the phrase "lighter and faster in the hand" has been used to describe the niner?

Looks like you had some good times Bushman! Love your posts, cause we always get some awesome pics in some awesome places!

Very cool, thanks for sharing. I wish you woulda had the Condor Kumunga with you though, I would really like to see how it compares with more expensive big dogs.

Great post. Love the pictures as well as the non-Becker knives. Nice to see some variation between the choppers. I'm still going to pick the BK9 over the other knives just for the fact that it more bang for your buck knife (Pun intended) :). I like to see the friendly competition between ESEE and Becker. I think it helps keep the companies accountable for producing great products.

What's your defense plan for Cougar up there? Double-fisting the 9 and Junglas?

Poor Cougar :)

Nice comparison & review -- when you get tired of that Odel, drop me a line... :D
I wonder how a full sized Dogfather would have done in the chop-off.

thanks for the comments.

to be honest, it was an unfair fight...the Junglas has an extra few inches of reach, and is thicker than the BK9. That alone will make it a better chopper. HOWEVER, i will be honest and say that the BK9 is a better ALL ROUNDER do it all knife. But,.......the Junglas can be an all rounder too, but it is a bit tiring holding it for delicate tasks.

And that is why, my fellow knife nuts, that we all carry 40+ knives with us into the woods. :D:D:D:D:D:D

any info you can give on the SOLIGEN Bowie Ethan?
And i would be honored to give you a tour of the new vancouver if you are ever up this way again! I grew up on your cooking, my mom lived out of "The Joy Of Cooking" when i was growing up!

Great pics ! Makes me wish I was there , or maybe having the tools , time and location to do my own version of the chopping combat .
Just a question : Can you take down trees as much as you like ? Here in Israel this is strictly illegal (for many reasons) unless you have a special permit . If a ranger will catch you chopping trees without a reason and a permit , be prepared to say farewell to many Shekels (our local currency) .

yes my blade friend! I am very blessed here in BC canada with millions of acres of uninhabited forest, where the trees and shrubs grow insanely fast.

That clearing in my pictures, i chopped down 2 years ago for firewood (over 20 truck loads). Look at it now. :D It is very wet here, trees like alder and willow grow like weeds.

I would love to see pics of your area, if you can. Far too often all I see is the war pics, and not daily life.

You are absolutely right - the war pics are those that sell the commercial airtime .
Unfortunately I don't have Becker pics B/cause I don't own one yet... Instead here is a pic of my mountain bike which is , like a Becker , all steel , all rigid . This was taken in my neighborhood - the Jerusalem area
